Angel wings

Helloo! I had trouble finding wing tutos that really matched me so I wanted to do this guide to show you how I made my wings with materials that were rather affordable and easy to find!! !

What you need

  • *Flexible PVC
  • *White fabrics
  • *Packaging foam
  • Yarn to make more or less rigid
  • *Hot glue
  • *Thermo machin (I forget the name..)

Steps

  1. 1

    Wing pattern

The most important thing is to measure each other!!! Depending on your measurements you will choose the size of your wings Personally I wanted large wings, so each of my wings is 105cm

  2. 2

    Trace a template

It's optional, but to better find it I've drawn a template of one of my wings so I can thermoform the pvc and cut my fabric
  3. 3

    Thermoforming PVC

Thanks to your wing template, you can thermoform the pvc while following the shape of your pattern It's easier but if your wing doesn't have a particular shape not really need (depends) I wanted the top of my wing to be a tip shape so it was a little more precise. For the base of my wings I also thermoform a U for the fastening system

Cut and glue of the fabric

Always the same, depending on the template your go cut your fabric Small tip take a fabric still light enough! Even if it makes sense, the wings can get heavy pretty fast

  5. 5

    Plums

The longest step... the cutting of feathers Of course before that you can choose the shapes of the feathers and their sizes Personal I have chosen 4 different sizes of feathers

  6. 6

    Paste feathers

My favourite step Be careful, because I didn't think of it, but the hot glue burns the packaging foam when you stick them, so little advice wait for the glue to cool a little before sticking them SINON HIS DOING KITS

    Fastening system

I forgot to specify but thanks to the U that I thermoformed my wings can fit in and thus hold They will be tied on my back with a ribbon The wings were moving a little bit from the blow I made small holes in the U and I set up vices (you don't see in the video ) ## Moderation : video temporarily disabled ##
