What you need

  • *Meter ribbon
  • *Birds
  • *Yarn matching your fabric
  • *Sewing machine
  • *Iron

Steps

  1. 1

    Measure and Mark the Bear

Try the garment to determine the desired length. Use the tape meter to accurately measure the hem length you want. Add 2 to 3 centimetres extra for sewing, then mark the cutting line with pins or a tailor chalk.

    Cut the excess fabric

If you have excess tissue, use your scissors to cut along the line you marked. Be accurate and cut straight to avoid any irregularity.

    Cross the Bear

Before sewing, cut the hem with an iron to flatten the fold. This will make sewing easier and ensure a clean finish.

    Sew the hem

Use a needle and thread or sewing machine to fix the hem in place. If you sew by hand, use an invisible dot for a discreet finish. If you use a machine, choose a simple straight point. Be sure to sew all around the hem at a regular distance from the edge.
